The Overfamiliarity Crisis

So “The Overfamiliarity Crisis” is not at all, a new phenomenon, so much as a vastly expanded, and exploited phenomena, where perspectives from an earlier age. of Societal “Ignorance Is Bliss” as to the ins & outs of Celebrity Life, or High Profile Life, have typically vanished in the modern day demands of materialism & consumerism created via Global Communications and The World Wide Web.

We recently of course saw hackers apparently make intervention into the output of various Establishment Realms and Individuals on the Social Media Platform Twitter, whereby it was seemingly revealed, or became apparent that the output from various Accounts was not actually necessarily the Headline name of the account Holder. Many Famous individuals or Business Owner can of course set up computer systems that pump out Advertisements or Daily Informative updates of their service & activities 24/7, whilst at the same time have a set up whereby they themselves can interject with more personalised comment or output on their particular output streams, that in turn can of course confuse and potentially bring about further conflict, as for every alleged intelligent person, who can rationalise that they are not necessarily communicating with, witnessing output from said Account Name Holder, many others may unwittingly not make such conclusions, especially those who are new, too young to fully comprehend or understand, or have existed in life not involving these sectors of modern day Technologies & Realms.

So people acting on an overfamiliarity with output from any given Realm, has been suggested to have been the bane of many a High Profile individuals life, and of course, also the reason why so many life realms hire employees, to better communicate with fans, or audiences and provide a greater level or security and so on, and that in turn can potentially exasperate or create issues where non previously existed.

Given the meditative approach I myself have taken with life in recent years, I do think that anyone with a higher than regular profile, wanting to maintain some level of sanity within their family life, should perhaps have direct lines & means of communication amongst each other, that bypasses hangers-on and employees, and other vested interest networks etc. Yes some types of behaviour may well be common place at all levels of Society, though the causes are often well documented, as are any number of Solutions. Are “Institutions” and “Establishments” really more important the the mental health and wellbeing of their constituent parts? IE. We often see the argument that a symbiosis exists between Celebrity & Reporter (for example). Though the feeding frenzy for some Societal Individuals has been demonstrated, over and again to have been abused & exploited for short term interest, and in many a case & circumstance, the inability of said High Profile Individuals to have any shape and form of Right To Reply, the act of ENGAGEMENT in many a debate or situation & scenario can typically reinforce that falsehoods are true & rubbish comments such-as “there is no smoke without fire” when, with many a circumstance, the exploitative individual has started a fire and then poured petrol on the flames as a CATALYST, to acceleration of the smoke, very often of course in support of their own AGENDA & audience, rather than necessarily the benefit of any other individual or group or collective.

We saw many of these kinds of activities during the so-called Cold War Years, between Nation States, though anyone who wants to delve deeper into greater truths, should check out International Trade between alleged opponent Nations, as more often than not, many a Propaganda Conflict (stoking imagined rivalries between states & peoples) has not been supported by what was happening hidden away from public perception & view, within international trade markets and papers. Newspapers such-as The Financial Times may not seem all that appealing and exciting to the common man & woman on the street, though they certainly help in debunking the daily nonsenses seen from many of their brethren within the broader News Media Industries.

So what books, have I selected for this article and how has the Amazon AI chosen to Organise them, within my Library – I often find that my own selecting of books, and then the AI. reorganising said publications, offers a quite interesting combinatorial “Feedback & Return” system for the development of my own Intuition, and ideas as to the nature of consciousness and indeed questions as to the bias of algorithms or otherwise, that are very much common place throughout much of the modern World.

Small Arcs Of Larger Circles – Nora Bateson – So this author has taken the work of an earlier generation writer relative, and expanded upon that work, in this case something called ‘An Ecology Of Mind’ with two invented terms to supplement the Theory. What are “Symmathesy” and “Transcontexuality”, anyone who reads this book will perhaps be enlightened as to this authors meaning of those terminologies.

Nanotechnology – Ben Rogers – So there have been many an excited quote as to the advent of nanotechnologies and what they mean for Society, for very many years, and of course, this particular book is perhaps a primer for someone wanting to be a scientist in this arena, rather than simply a fan of the many versions seen within many an entertainment fiction, that is possibly not yet supported by current Science advances.

Untangling The Web: An NSA Guide to Research – National Security Agency – I have zero idea if this really is the output of that particular United States Government Realm, though did think it strange even in these modern day times, that such an allegedly top secret establishment would say ‘here you go, here’s an insight to our methodologies and strategies for conducting research on the Web’.

The Shallows – Nicholas Carr – This is suggested to inform of how the Internet has brought about a change in societal behaviours namely how we think, read and remember. A great deal of Social Engineering style books exist, and many report on how modern technological realms have brought about shifts in many a societal demographic’s behaviours.

The Master Switch – Tim Wu – I purchased this as a cheapie, and though it is quite a few years old now, I do think it quite relevant in that today, I think we have advanced far enough from when it was written, to draw conclusions as to the books accuracy or otherwise on many of the then themes that were occurring at the time of its original composition.

Making Up The Mind – Chris Frith – How The Brain Creates our Mental World. This is another older book from a Neuroscientist, who wrote this book on regarding of the Brain Versus Mind debate, based in the latest advancements from his research at that point in time. I do often find that despite having far newer books on such topics, that it can always be handy to delve back into earlier authors works on the topic and subject. Despite the “accelerated speed of life” that we can now seemingly find ourselves caught up in, it can do no harm to understand that most Science Realms advance at quite small stepping stone increments, however much some individuals want otherwise to be the truth.

The Meritocracy Trap – Daniel Markovits – This is one of those kinds of books, that assumes to debunk the kind of psychological systems many of us have going on, throughout much of our lives. We all potentially know or have a Desire for Meritocracy, though typically also potentially have ego’s and sense of entitlements, that distract us from how we all manage to be correct in our own demand for equality and fairness and meritocracy, without necessarily having a shared ‘meaning’ that works for all peoples and communities and so on and so forth. In fact whilst none appear within todays book images, what often goes to the heart of these Matters are issues of “Winner Takes All Systems” Versus “Distribution of Merit Systems”, where sadly so-called Game Theory often demonstrates (whether we any of us agree or otherwise) that all things being equal – Winner Takes All is from an individual agent perspective – always the best strategy. I am not sure how that goes down with my Meditative Lessons and Learnings as many of those Guru’s (whose output I followed & courses I purchased) have clearly taken their followers on a journey, that often early on can seem as though it is they operating on a “Winner Takes All” strategy, though can often seemingly transition to unexpectedly something else altogether.

Game Feel – Steve Swink – So ideas surrounding modern day Virtual Reality have often been about interaction between you and your special gadgets, headsets and gloves and vibrating controllers and joysticks and so on, and I think this book was in many ways a kind of bridging mechanism between how us older generation of game players perhaps played video games in the 1980’s & 1990’s and how that has transitioned more and more to investigating sensory mechanisms for VR and so on. Yes arcade games within arcades have explored and had quite a variety of interactive mechanism even back in the 1980’s & 1990’s though since the turn of the millennium, more and more effort has been placed upon getting these things where your average person in the street wanted them, at home with family & friends on your Wii Console, or Playstation, or Xbox and so on etc.

Cyber Mercenaries – Tim Maurer – So we have recently seen great debate and mud slinging between Nation States as to the behaviour or otherwise of Their respective Intelligence Agencies, and who is doing what to whom at any given moment in time will, I doubt, never truly be resolved, as the modern Global Connected World has demonstrated far more privateer activities, within and without many a nation, than officially state sanctioned bodies could potentially keep track off, or indeed necessarily want to claim as their own. This book claims to report on some of those intricacies, though my own concern (in having read up and investigated many of these things) is that their is often a quite deliberate & hawkish bias from those within Espionage & Intelligence Agencies from most Nation States. The old Gentleman’s respect among given life realms (if it ever truly existed) has long since vanished in a sort of justification for the justification for the justification, free market hierarchy of too many competing factions, where sorting wheat from chaff and shades of grey as to motivations or otherwise, can only bring about more conflict & confusion, where wiser minded heads should acknowledge that they all know that they have ongoing operations against each other, though should all perhaps seek to reign in some of the questionable activities of freelancer mercenary, privateer operations of James Bond styled Story’s, setting Great powers against each other.

The Mediated Construction of Reality – Nick Couldry – This another book on Social Theory and Social Engineering or Communication & Media Studies (perhaps), though I was seeking to find a book that manages to incorporate many of these types of issues, and this book title perhaps fits in with those things.

The Death Of Expertise – Tom Nichols – So this book is only 3 years old, though I think many who have lived through the last few years might concur that, what was one regarded as healthy – the invitation to debate, participate & learn, and so on, has only exasperated and polarised very many an entrenched intransigent persons position on many a topic and subject of debate, very often to the detriment of possibly a given individual themselves, and indeed those who are constantly exploited by the very many ongoing free-for-all debates that can be found within most Societies.

The Great Convergence – Richard Baldwin – So this book is about Trade & Globalisation, and goes into some detail as to how trade developed down through the ages, and eventually led to the Globalisation of the last few years, with perhaps some prophecy as to what next.

Always Day One – Alex Kantrowitz – So I recently suggested that much of my Meditative lessons and learnings eventually led to the idea of Always Day One (in the way that you think, feel and behave etc.) and that philosophy has long been taken up by Technology Companies with great success, according to this author, although I am sure their is more to it than that.

Science Fictions – Stuart Ritchie – So an Above book suggested that the World was experiencing “The Death Of Expertise”, and this book perhaps counters that, with a position that says well actually, there is much about Science Expertise and systems that have in fact contributed to a lack of trust and faith in expertise, due to the way those Expert realms themselves operate, not sure how much cross-over their genuinely is between these writers of differing realms, though I am sure we any of us can seek to draw conclusions and comparisons etc. once we have read an digested there respective outputs.

Writing For The Cut – Greg Loftin – So I have perhaps overindulged Screenwriting books, and I thought I know what about Editing and other behind the scenes type roles that exist within movies and TV an so on. This one about editing, though interestingly once you find a sub topic or genre for many a given realm, you often find more specialised branches of interest, that you may have previously neglected or glossed over through lack of awareness that such a position or role existed, and indeed many of these things are perhaps dependant on production size, scale and scope, as well as budget. though are always of interest never the less.

So that another rather large selection to get through and should keep me occupied for a while. It is of course The Holiday Season, and I often find when noting what is in the media at this time of annual point, that there is always a certain amount of light care free silly season about it. I think this year we are still seeing a certain amount of silly season activities etc. Though also a greater polarisation among differing groups and factions, and of course in typical fashion, most can see the silly behaviours of others whilst not being altogether aware of the silly nonsenses of they themselves, and how they may well appear to others etc.

Anyway as always

Thank you for reading, God Bless and Be Well.

Perkins Entertainment Realms Ltd.

So have you ever sat down, and tried to think of a name for yourself within a given industry that best describes you and your intended business, will it be as a sole trader, a partnership, a Ltd Company or Business, A Corporation. Have you imagined or envisioned how such a business might grow and expand to have a finger in more than one pie, or be an umbrella group styled company with delegated realms and so on. So yes I have done this on a number of occasions down through the years, and in multiple instances, have failed in actually getting started. In the sense, of having gained qualifications and then entered employment, or learnt about a given industry or business and even set out the beginnings of business plans, and then typically found little success in personal advancement within those realms of what can often or typically be described as “other peoples business’s”, or indeed have found that despite reading and learning and studying as anyone might do within a “surrounding yourself with a given realm cultural doctrine”, that the societal blocks to beginning and setting out on your own are ridiculous.

Within many working life realms, it is requirement of particular qualifications, or industry guild and union membership, though more often than not the issue is one of raising finance without compromising of your own values, belief’s and so on – to a given lender such-as a bank, or investment guru, and so on. People mock TV shows such-as Dragon’s Den or The Apprentice – though the truth be told, that many life realms that your average guy or gal on the street might be interested or passionate about are ‘closed shops’ and how those closed shops came into being were very often intended as positive developments or advancements when they were originally brought into being, though have very often down through the years transitioned into closed shop Establishment Cultures & network protection rackets all of there own, very often policed by people who may well have inherited ‘vested interests’ within a given life realm, without themselves having had to do anything beyond being born into a given family & network, or having schooled within appropriate pre-existing elite facilities and faculties et al.

Anyway, some of course, suggest that the way of the World was ever thus, though of course my own take on many of these things has shifted more and more to – do it anyway, circumvent them anyway attitudes. If you are able, or have access to places such-as WordPress, or Youtube and other Social Media sites and so on, just set out blogging or vlogging and keep on going, you might want to see how you yourself can monetise such things, and of course many a business that I find myself amongst on this backwater blog, are already Monetised with links to fellow bloggers or advertisers and pay for the story/review options, and you really can find many a home cottage industry specialist, or indeed clever individuals who may have started out with a narrow focus though over the years have developed a range of products and services that they themselves offer and so on.

So can I transition into a service or expertise, that others might want and pay me for, so much so that I am able to leave the present employment under my own steam and set up successfully for myself and so on. That is of course something I have wanted to do for quite a few years, though my experience of so-called Hypnosis products leaving me with the idea IT IS ALL AN INSIDE JOB, and then Meditation products and explorations bringing me to various degree’s of enlightenment & awareness, and spiritual realm practices, have all perhaps served those who had set themselves up as spiritual technologists and guru’s, though left me somewhat stripped down of a lifetimes worth of learning and study and I of course, in wanting to raise funds, thought AH-HA I can transition to this idea that seems to work for many of these folks – identify the money in communication – of courses what I also found was that in scales and measures of money, those who already have money can fast track themselves exponentially on successful navigation of these things, whilst those of us starting out with little, are unlikely to ever achieve a tipping point that places us within an enabled uncompromised zone of freedom, where we are not constantly having to prioritise through juggling of those lower range building blocks or issues described within Maslow’s hierarchy of needs (so to speak). People born into backgrounds of any level of pre-existing wealth, are often already set up with an invisible zone of “self actualisation” that they are perhaps oblivious to having, though is all to obvious to those perhaps ranked as outsiders, very often who want “in” to the ways and means and alignments of various establishments, though do not have the family background, or schooling, or socio-economic requirements to transition to a place of living in a more comfortable landscape of life choices and options, and of course – why I stuck with Meditation was due to its success at enabling the clearing out, or enabling the reviewing of a lifetimes worth of accumulated lessons and learnings and communications and so on, that may have had a greater baring on my success and failures than known, when I was simply unaware and unenlightened – in relative terms – to the more expanded version of reality I perhaps now have, as a kind of mental model or map, I say that in comparison with all those very many compartmentalised mental models and maps I may have accumulated throughout my life pre-meditation.

So what books have I purchased this week? and how did the Kindle/Amazon A.I. choose to position, order and download them from the cyberspace cloud, to my respective gadgets in order for my immediate perusal and reading thereof.

So in a similar vein to last week, this 1st image contains 4 new purchases, and a couple from the previous week. I shall of course, seek to explain my own reasoning or meaning in purchase, though as always, others may develop there own thinking on these things, or indeed choose to not read anything into it at all.

Priceless – William Poundstone – This is a good name for a book (IMHO) as we any of us as an individual or family member, or group can wonder upon what we might regard as priceless within our own lives. This book is actually about how Behavioural Psychology and experimentation among various business’s has led to the development of various pricing structures within business that are alleged to improve the possibility (or otherwise) of a sale.

Obliquity – John Kay – This was on my own list due to its cheap and cheerful price from Amazon, although the snakes and ladders image is also interesting, as is what is suggested within the book, the author is suggesting that the best method of achieving goals is indirectly, and you can look up the word ‘obliquity’ for yourselves. Interestingly, I of course studied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at University, and a typical module component might be learning about how Fly-by-wire systems were developed and came into being. We often perhaps recall films such-as Indiana Jones with somewhat straight red Lines drawn on a map between locations to suggest the protagonist is in flight, and that is also often true of real life Airport and Flight Maps, though the truth is often one of planes circumnavigating Weather, hostile no fly-over zones, and other aircraft, and all sorts of logistics such-as refuelling (on long haul flights) that make a mockery of the idea of the straight line flight path between locations A & B.

Connected: The Amazing Power Of Social Networks – Nicholas Christakis – This book was purchased as a cheapie, though it is interesting as to some of the themes I was wanting to explore this week, in terms of how traditional ancient pre-computerised networks of an earlier age and generation, have often been repeated within the more modernist sphere of cloud computing and social media networks technologies and so on. Much of my Meditation was wanting to reduce or transition much of the accumulated mental noise within my own Heart and Mind and Body (so to speak), that we as ‘always on’ biological senders and receivers of sensory information accumulate from birth, to something more useful. Although I have over more recent years, fallen more into alignment with the RAISING THRESHOLD model provided by Centerpointe Research Institute, than many an alternate idea on these things. No it is not necessarily the be all and end all, though it certainly enables greater individual awareness & enlightenment & understanding of your own life path navigation and circumstances, prior to discovering, that you could look upon your own life from new perspectives, and ideas, that you may have previously only read about or dreamed off, without considering that some folks were already alive and living more empowered existences via those ways and means and technologies now.

Future Imperfect – David D Friedman – So this book was written prior to its release way back in 2008, and I myself did of course grow up, very interested in Science Fiction and Futuristic possibilities exampled through multiple entertainment media that I had been exposed to from a young age – books, Film, TV, Video Game etc. so much so that I eventually studied electronics engineering, and then went to University as a mature student studying Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in the late 1990’s, early 2000’s. For me much of that motivation had been about starting again, a new life in a new area of the Country, and with a family, and finally achieving multiple of various childhood dreams etc. and all that after having had a somewhat troubled latter teenage years, where it very much had seemed all future hope (from a personal perspective) was gone, as to how I wanted the course of my life to go. So I still love many a Science Fiction many years later now, and also enjoy discussions on possible future technologies and how they may come to change the landscape of Society and the Human Race, although I am far less likely to place all the hopes and dreams and expectations of dystopia or utopia into one basket (so to speak).

This 2nd Image only contains 3 books, although their is another further 3rd image to be added further down the page.

Other Peoples Money – John Kay – So sharped eyed individuals will note that this is the 2nd book from this particular author, although I often find myself wanting to delve into Financial Sector and Economics books, they can often be somewhat self satisfied and self-congratulatory and I am hoping that this chap as a more independently minded economist is able to cut through some of the issues – especially during these seemingly unprecedented economic issues seen throughout the modern day World of Populist Nationalist Neo-Libertarian styled Governments about the Globe, suddenly creating and crafting what would have Historically been referred to as Communist Socialist styled Magic Money Tree’s, especially when most of them were Voted for on somewhat traditional lines of tight disciplined small c, low tax conservative spending oriented politics.

What-If – Randall Munroe – This was another cheap and cheerful expenditure on a book that asks what are suggested to be amusing, absurd and strange hypothetical questions. Given the present day World Circumstances, one cannot hope to wonder if someone such as this chap has already gone into the hypothesis of just one or two of the absurdities that people are experiencing within their everyday lives at this present moment in History.

A Game Design Vocabulary – Anna Anthropy – So much about my Meditation and so-called Cross Realm Intelligence explorations of recent years has been about finding the common links and points between differing spheres and life realms of human endeavour. Anyone who has studied Engineering or the Industrialisation of Manufacturing perhaps understands that much of the progress of the 20th Century World was brought about through World Wide Agreed Standardization’s of various things, and this book is perhaps a considered or contributed effort within the Realm of Video Games to move towards some common processes of standardisation models and understanding of what those within that industry are communicating among each other, yes I am sure a certain level of this exists as video games have been with us now for most of my own lifetime, although as always the more literature there is on such things, the more such a realm gains credence of legitimacy and transitions itself more into an establishment realm, and of course within computer realms the newest best thing is often King, so you really are in a place of ever moving horizons and profits are often placed ahead of educational requirements, whereby any attempt to make my Standard, Everyone’s Standard, can be like a red rag to a bull, for those who are up and coming or like to move fast and break things, or push at the boundaries and edge of possibilities, unencumbered by rules, regulations and the constrictions of an earlier generation of coders, hackers and so on, who themselves have often boasted or played and existed on the notoriety of their rebellious efforts from an earlier time within said industry realm – yes this is a common feature throughout the History of many an Establishment Realm or Life Realm whether regarded as part of the Arts or otherwise, and perhaps buys into those doctrines of Meditation such-as treat each day as a new start or beginning for new endeavours and so on.

So this 3rd and final image within this particular post has 6 books, and some may even provide answers to questions brought about through what I wrote previously, whilst other questions are left unanswered.

The Joy of Search – Daniel M. Russell – So I spoke on studying Artificial Intelligence at University, and the Robotics Lab, among other places I studied or visited during that period of my life had actually been contributing to various Space Research Efforts. Space of course – what you see within the Night sky, rather than the space between these symbols on this blog page. Space is vast and everyone on the planet could wholly concentrate on one sector of space as a research topic to have throughout there own lifetime, and all those other sectors would still be unexplored. So all sorts of techniques and strategies have been developed around the scientific tools that we presently have, or are developing to improve our capability of space research exploration and so on. Those tools range from the accurate and precise to best guestimates and very many a predictive model or hypothesis and so on. The good news for the common man or woman, is that those ideas that began life very often as space exploration tools, techniques and strategies and so on, have also typically been utilised within the realm of software for “SEARCH ENGINES”, and of course search engines have become a somewhat ever present ever expanding capability and capacity that is common throughout much of the modern World since the advent of the World Wide Web. So whilst this book says it is about search, and search techniques to find answers to a particular set of questions, I am hoping that there is some hidden greater depth to the questioning techniques and strategies provided within this book, or maybe I can even compare what is said within this modern book now, to some of those now seemingly long distant techniques and so on, I learnt whilst within the Educational System.

Range – David Epstein – So as a youngster I can remember watching athlete Daley Thompson doing Decathlon’s and that is of course a type of range of athletic capabilities when compared to another runner of that era Sebastian Coe – Of distance running fame, who might be described as a specialist in distance running. Many modern internet commentators & Famed Celebrities et al. very often made there name in one field of specialist endeavour whether acting or singing or writing or what ever a given realm expertise or talent happens to be, meanwhile of course most folks including they also have to contend with day to day living requirements and the famous and fortunate are perhaps little differing from the rest of Society in that regard and so on, though in this modern era, very often seem to spend inordinate amounts of time, handing out opinions on every topic under the sun based in subjective experience rather than necessarily a specialist expertise for which they rose to fame, power or whatever. I have gone through various phases of life of trying to specialise, as well as perhaps developing more generalist skills and I think there is a place for both range and specialisation within the modern World, although it will be interesting to see what this chap says within his book.

Blueprint: The Evolutionary Origins of A Good Society – Nicholas Christakis – So another author who has managed to slip two books into my purchasing week. This perhaps due to his topics, I spoke on how many a guru has developed there own blueprint for success and earlier I wrote on this issue of how pre-existing societal patterns of connectivity and social networking have very often simply transferred to our modern day tools such-as the World Wide Web.

Lost Connections – Johann Hari – So this book was seemingly a last minute addition to my lists, and that is perhaps because I would not claim to suffer depression etc. What interested me, was that it suddenly appeared among books I was looking at, some quite famed individuals made recommendations and when I looked at the content page, I thought actually this is potentially an interesting issue, he says the causes of Depression are a list of disconnections, and then goes on to Solution them with reconnections – in fact I would be doing a disservice if I said I am in agreement or alignment with such ideology prior to reading as my initial reaction was this is wrong, although I do know from my meditation and raised threshold, that very often things that we reject throughout our lives become somewhat like blocked up filters, and if seemingly horrible things are lurking beneath those mental blocks how are you to gain release? and it is only reinvestigating whilst on your new threshold and perspective viewpoint that you can have those clear out’s, releases or newly acquired ah-ha’s from a new perspective vantage point etc. Can it work for non-meditators – well I think I referenced a scripted Madam Pompadour quote from a Dr Who episode – where she suggested a door once open could be traversed both ways, and why do any of us hang on to life long traumas, or confusions and conflicted thoughts and feelings? my own experience of young childhood was of course I am sure similar to many another person in seeking to develop your own identity, choices and options, and of course rejecting labels (whether regarded as good/bad or neutral) and stuff from others, that did not align with my own plans for my growth and development or future dreams and beliefs for my own life during those years. So if this book works for some folks, good luck to them. Though I harp on about my experience of The Holosync Solution Programme due to my experience of it seemingly working for me, after investing in many a guru programme or expertise that has greatly failed me, in comparative terms.

Who Rules The World – Noam Chomsky – This was another cheap and cheerful bargain bin buy, although it is written by a chap who is well regarded for multiple of his contributions to the World of Literature or books in general. He was also on a list of famous signatory authors published in Harpers Magazine, complaining of so-called cancel culture. I genuinely think that as adult individuals we have the right to not necessarily participate in or experience all and every debate that exists in the modern global communications sphere, and that you cannot really cancel something, or claim I no platformed you, If I were probably not invested in what you are doing and saying anyway etc. in the first place. So much of what we think to be real about the World becomes somewhat illusory with enough meditation and guidance, although as always the World will continue to spin with or without the highs and lows of drama’s, found within all peoples and individuals within most echelons and levels of Society etc. It is time to say ‘oh get over yourselves! yet’

Deep Work: Rules for Focussed Success in a Distracted World – Cal Newport – So this is perhaps the antithesis to that idea above of Range, in the sense that this perhaps recommends a more specialised focus for success and achievement. I think that there is a place for both, and of course, many a person who became famous through specialisation can now be seen commenting on all and sundry topic and subject on the World Wide Web. You can typically find folks who have become famous or celebrity for both specialisation and range, and I think you have to perhaps develop your own skill, judgment and discernment as to what is appropriate for you and your own life, especially in this age where attention and experience economics have become the new normal etc.

So that is a rather large collection of book purchases to get through, what else have I been doing, well I did rent the Cinematic release of SCOOB! (Scooby Doo Cartoon Movie) and informed my daughter in West Wales (where she lives) so she could watch it from her home via my account, and I too watched it from where I am resident in Hereford. We began watching and collecting Scooby Doo Cartoons, Series & Movies when she was quite young as a kind of hobby together, on her visits to me and my extended family in Hereford, and we just kept going. Anyway we both thought the film great and far better than many a reviewer gave it credit, probably because we were better placed to identify and see many an in joke or reference, that might pass a casual fan or critic by. That is of course a ‘specialisation’ knowledge (in a way), although the ‘range’ of the film was perhaps in its guest star type characters such-as The Blue Falcon, Dick Dastardly & Mutley, Captain Caveman – and for those characters, it really was potentially harder to gauge, I know I like classic Dastardly and Mutley and I like classic Captain Caveman, though had only seen The Blue Falcon in an ancient cartoon cross-over. Dick Dastardly was fine, though not enough of Mutley, Captain Caveman was a little disappointing to how I remember him, and Blue Falcon whilst enjoyable within this particular Movie, I had limited point of reference to go on. so my range is perhaps incomplete within the broader range of Characters of Warner Brothers/Hanna Barbera/Ruby Spears etc.

The reason I share that information, is perhaps to demonstrate that ideas regarding ‘specialisation’ and ‘range’ are far more common place within the lives of most peoples and persons than they may realise, and of course they are likely to have developed such abilities throughout most of their years, and across a range of topics, and subject matter, as a natural part of growing up, and life in general, without necessarily thinking about it, having a qualification in it, or indeed finding that some faction or grouping or whatever and however they want to be identified, has planted some Flag in a given IDEA and declared it to be wholly owned only by those, who meet, or are in alignment with some given set of arbitrary values and identity criteria, and so on and so forth. One can actually get to a point in very many of these meditative explorations regarding any range of life realms whether business or entertainment or Art etc. where it does seem that far to many an establishment empire, is akin to a house built upon unsuitable foundations or ground, rather than being of genuine modern day merit, and very many of those preachy aspirational kind of things, that you often hear from many individuals of these establishments, and those that walk their corridors and all that jazz.

Anyway as always

Thank you for reading, God Bless and Be Well.

The Art Of Super Disruption

So when thinking on writing a new blog article, I found myself thinking very much in regard of Politics and Disruption, and indeed the services, tools, and mechanisms through which disruption has been allowed and enabled to spread, throughout very many Communities and Localities around the Globe. As always there are those who advocate somewhat ‘anything goes’ policies in a disruptions are akin to shaking the tree, and seeing what falls out, fashion and manner, and others who believe that we already have pre-existing systems and mechanisms that exist that could easily have been applied in terms of protocols and rules of law, in order to bring disruptive endeavours within the jurisdiction of International Community and National Government Bodies and so on. You typically find as always, that consensus is rarely to be found along very many a permutation of ideas surrounding timelines, whether short, medium, or long term, and that in very many an instance, the responsibility should fall to the individual, or trader, or business or community that is in the front line of having to deal with a given issue. That of course potentially takes us into the ‘local for local people’ realms of discourse & engagement, though some of us, through our own particular life story or history, of often feeling as though we are ‘excluded’ or exist ‘behind enemy lines’, or are constantly under ‘siege’ have often utilised our knowledge of technology and so on, to find community in far away places, that offer reprieve from those often normalised undesirable affects of those stated issues.

So Will President Trump win a 2nd Term in the USA – I think at present he will, just as The Conservatives would win a new election within the UK. Sadly the rush to ‘engage’ or ‘battle’ at every slight or outrage, very often simply plays into the hands of those who already have control on the levers of power, or have pre-existing empowered lives. Far better, perhaps to be discerning in your choices and options, and of course, realise that people feel empowered at the possibility to ‘rebel against the system’ when people see mass media & social media stories of ‘herd rebellions’ and that becomes the new ‘idea of the system’ they will enter into the psychology of ever decreasing circular logic ambushes, alienating would-be supporters and neutrals alike, who very often might be up for some short battle, though rarely have the desire or motivation to enter into a long war, and alignment with Political viewpoints, where their original support was more in the spiritual terms of ‘what if this was me who suffered these seeming injustices et al.’ What people say outside of voting booths is often not demonstrated through the counts that occur of votes made in the Privacy of said voting booths.

I am long known to have been against The United Kingdom Parliament in its present shape and form, and whilst we have seen regional assemblies taking off in Scotland, Ireland and Wales, I really believe the United Kingdom would be better served through Parliament itself becoming something more of a Regional Assembly, and then having other assemblies throughout the UK. All that is wrong with LOCAL & NATIONAL POLITICS, can be found within the highly unrepresentative & heavy biases of the pre-existing set-up. I keep seeing campaigns for new local regional assemblies though it is akin to planting a zero on top of an infinity point.

So what books have I been viewing since I last wrote, well I have quite a number to perhaps show or speak upon, though as always my reason for purchase are my own.

So last week in a private posting, I had actually assembled images of very many freebies gained via kindle unlimited, and did not feel a need to publish those images for a viewing public. A couple of those books can be seen in this image, Infinity in the Palm of your Hand – Marcus Chown, and another mental models book – The Power Of Mental Models – Joseph Fowler. It can also be stated that my own quest or search for books has seemingly been disrupted by a re-organisation of Amazon Online and how they Organise differing categories of books and sub-categories and sub-sub-categories & so on. Whilst I am sure it works in a pleasing fashion for generic populist celebrity authors, for someone who likes to explore off the beaten path, for a higher level of well studied Realm Expertise, it makes things far harder, you really are getting to a point where you will have to visit University Web Sites and Examine there booklists and so on, for given topics and subjects, rather than just what is regurgitated and very often dumbed down for public consumption.

Disruption OFF – Terry Jones – I recently decided to reacquaint myself with recent book reading recommendations from Learning Strategies and Centerpointe Research Institute. This book was recommended for the Learning Strategies Photoreading Course in February 2020, and is presently available free via my kindle unlimited account.

Life on Your Terms – Rex Steven Sikes – This was the recommended book for the month of May for the Learning Strategies Photoreading course, and again is presently available as a freebie via Kindle Unlimited.

The Code Book – Simon Singh – This is the present and concurrent Learning Strategies Photoreading course book recommendation, and I paid for this one, though at a reasonable cost, and I like books on codes anyway, so another for my rather large collection on that subject matter.

The Productive Researcher – Mark Reed – So I like research though as many a reader perhaps notes, I do not seem to necessarily be all that productive on the many topics and subjects that I do research, can this book help me become PRODUCTIVE? This book is also presently a freebie via my Kindle Unlimited Account.

This image contains a couple of books that appeared in my Holosync Brain Club Reading List, whilst the rest are of course seeming bargains. Amazon seemingly managing to now follow the alleged ancient Tesco (Supermarket) Philosophy of “Pile It High, Sell It Cheap” much to the chagrin of authors and so on everywhere, though in the age of instant access Social Media, where people interact and communicate freely, writers & authors should perhaps be grateful that they are still able to reach audiences with somewhat whole and complete books, in an age where many attention spans are less than that of what they once were.

The Biological Mind – Alan Jasonoff – So multiple theories of mind exist, and anyone who has done a Learning Strategies course or two, such-as Abundance For Life, has perhaps encountered this idea that we are more than our mind and bodies and so on. This book seems to explore those ideas and I look forward to seeing how it contrasts or supports some of those courses and theories I have taken or studied.

Probably Approximately Correct – Leslie Valiant – So I studied Heuristics at University as part of my Artificial Intelligence Studies that are often developed around the idea of ‘search’ and many take Heuristics to be like a ‘Rule of Thumb’ And this book written by a Computer Scientist discusses Cognition and Evolution as perhaps complementary, I will not know until I read what he says.

Just Breathe – Dan Brule – So I already purchased books on breathing, and of course took up Meditation and followed various courses that have many a breathing exercise. As well of course having been a living breathing being all my life. This book was only £0.99, so I can hardly complain if it fails to offer anything new to the subject matter.

The Voices Within – Charles Fernyhough – Wow a book on this subject should make interesting reading, though I doubt I am alone in having taken up and continued with The Holosync Solution Meditation, due to its ability to clear out, dampen down or massively reduce, the amount of accumulated voices within, that any of us can have accumulated throughout our respective lifetimes.

Be Here Now – Ram Dass – This book was on my Holosync Brain Club reading list and as suggested earlier, I decided to see what those realms I heavily invested in for several years, were recommending or have historically recommended.

The Four Agreements – Don Miguel Ruiz – This book was also on my Holosync Brain Club list and they do say you get more of what you focus upon and that does seem to become the EXPERIENCE as you progress with the Meditation Technology, so whilst the World and its politicians and virus’ and uprising movements, and so on are all potentially highly disruptive to very many lives. In turning my own attention to more positive, uplifting, rewarding, thoughts, feelings and behaviours, I perhaps hope to better navigate such things, so as not to find myself returning to undesirable ,thoughts, feelings, behaviours and actions of a younger time of life etc.

Suffering Focussed Ethics – Magnus Vinding – So my Eastern Meditation Philosophy Teachings have often stated that “All Life Is Suffering” even though the Technology itself can potentially greatly reduce the suffering of any individual who invests in those Technology and Courses for themselves. Meanwhile of course there is always the issue of a World where suffering is still common place among many peoples and populations, and it can do no harm to study what the present day thinking is on some of these issues.

Block-Chain For Non-It Professionals – Srinivas Mahankali – So blockchain technology has had an interesting history in recent years, mostly as to the popularity of Bitcoin and security issues, and I myself downloaded and ran a Blockchain Software http://www.foldingathome.org for several months as part of my contribution to the Covid-19 Effort. Although I did not mind the software running in the background, I did find it an annoyance as to putting the computer into sleep mode etc. and finding that it does not happen, thereby introducing security risk to my Computer etc. So after 4 months I have once again removed the software, although some sites suggest that no blockchain software including this particular one can be trusted.

The Essential Guide…Production Music – Michael Hewitt – So I grew up around music, and of course like many a person invested in following pop & rock stars who were famous during my younger years, I also of course in taking up Holoync felt I was clearing up much of the accumulation of these things. I do think that a certain level of industry and commitment and skill and so on is involved within the Music industry, and it is therefore worth keeping an eye on and so I add this to my music book collection.

To Engineer Is Human – Henry Petroski – So I like engineering, and this chap claims to have written this book in an effort to bring a better understanding of definitions of engineering to a broader audience.

White Shift – Eric Kaufman – This another book on the issue of identity politics. Whilst I have my own viewpoint on the subject through my own lived experience, I have great concern regarding many of these books, as my experience of the Guardian Online community of many voices and claimed diversity, was not one of integrative policies so much as first among equals, self supremacists, I would even go so far as to suggest that whilst I myself have sought for multiple years some level of centred balanced equilibrium among competing factions, that particular sectors of so-called equal rights movements over indulge in first among equals cakeism, so much so that much of the overall diversity and equality landscape is completely out of equilibrium, much like the Social Media Landscape that many of these factions have used to exploit various populations and so on.

Meltdown – Chris Clearfield – So this was given a Financial Times best business books award in its year of release, though given the present drama’s seen throughout the World, it will be interesting to see how much of the lessons, learnings, techniques and strategies explained within this book are being applied to present day circumstances throughout the World.

So that is rather a large selection to make up for not publishing for a week or two, as always I can typically expand on my own viewpoints on various topic and subject matter, though likewise often feel you have reached a point or stage in your own life journey, where wisdom and discernment should be favoured over fool hardy ness, irrespective of where such behaviours and actions and so on are occurring and originating within the World at Large.

Thank you for reading, God Bless and Be Well.
